Anderson Responds to Recent Book Challenge

Ironically enough, just before Banned Books Week a recent op-ed article by Wesley Scroggins draws attention to Laurie Halse Anderson's acclaimed novel Speak.  Read Anderson's response to the controversy in her interview with School Library Journal and at her blog.

Book Club - First Meeting

  Book club met on Wednesday, September 14 to kick off a fun year of reading and sharing our favorites. After gathering our snacks and treats, we introduced ourselves and shared titles of recent favorites:

Later, as we wrapped up the meeting, we played a game matching titles and authors of all the books the club has read in recent years.
